DevBlog #15 - Tech Test Recap

Thats a wrap!
A couple of weeks ago, we opened the doors to our first closed technical test of Earth's Edge!
First of all, a big thank you to everyone who participated, spent time playing, reported bugs, and shared their thoughts with us!
Getting the game into the hands of people outside our small development team is an important step, and we genuinely appreciate everyone who took the time to help us out. Genuinely!
Thank you!
Some Numbers
-
We've had a total of 990 key or license activations (either a key via discord or got access directly via steam)!
-
The playtest had an average playtime of 33 minutes, which is roughly what we've expected!
-
We have recieved a total of 949 bug/crash reports and feature requests aggregated from the ingame form, discord and automatic crash handlers!

Bug/Crash Reports and Feature Requests
Notable bug reports
Of course, not everything went as planned. Things broke or didn't behave quite as expected.
We received a couple of rather interesting bug reports throughout the test and wanted to share some of them with you!
All of them have already made their way into our bug tracker, but a few were simply too funny not to share :D
#1 Legs
Some weapons did not have proper third person animations yet, but that report was still quite funny to read.
Thanks for reporting!
Bug Report "Legs". Thanks C R A B and Pink!
#2 LOTS of EMBR-Units
Thomas deployed a couple of EM-BR Units to see what it would do. It did not crash, but his hardware was not happy about it.
Thank you for the stress test!

A small army of EM-BR Units

They could even be stacked!
#3 ...?
There is a lot happening at once and we have yet to figure out how to properly replicate this!

Thank you ѕнσωтιмє for reporting!
What happens next?
Now that we've returned from our short vacation, we'll be going through all the feedback and reports you've sent our way.
There's quite a bit to look at, and we'll be using your feedback to identify what needs fixing, what needs improving, and where we should put our focus next.
Its absolutely invaluable feedback from you, and we cant thank you enough!
Lets get to work!
Thank you again for your continued support!
